Here’s a quick gallery from an area of Bahia Magdelena known as “The Dunes”.
If you are anchored at Man-O-War cove, it’s only a quick dinghy ride away, and you will know its there because you will hear the coyote’s yipping away all night long.
At low tide, the mud flats are full of seabirds by the hundreds, picking through the mud for tasty morsels. Many of these birds are fattening up for the trip they are about to make back to our home grounds in the Pacific Northwest.
The dunes are flanked by mangroves on the east side and there are channels that you can kayak or SUP during high tide if you’ve got the gear.
We have two projects coming up that might bring us back to Bahia Magdelena this summer. Hopefully we can film and share more. Till then….
